GENRAL QUESTIONS(i) Purchasing a rug at our website :When you find a item you wish to purchase, please click on the "Add to Cart" link . Repeat the process for any other item you wish to purchase. Once you are ready to make your purchase, please scroll to the bottom of your shopping cart and click the "Checkout" button. Clicking the "Checkout" button will perform an automated stock check for the item(s) you wish to purchase and, if there is enough stock to meet your order, create an invoice for you. Rugs on our web site are almost always available, as the web site is updated continuously to remove out of stock items. Please follow the instructions on 2 Checkout website to complete your purchase. 2 checkout are leading merchant services providers and handle credit card transactions for Gaba orientals.After making your payment, you will be able to view the status of your invoice via your shopping cart page. Once we receive notification of your payment from 2 checkout, we will ship your item(s) and send you a DHL, FedEx, or UPS tracking number via e-mail. This will enable you to track your rug(s) online during delivery. (ii) Accuracy of colors shown in the site :We take extra care while taking and editing photos. For the very reason, we take photos with high-resolution cameras and use best graphics soft wares on standard monitors available to edit them for you. We match each and every color as it is in the carpet. Please note that colors in carpet photos may vary in relation to your monitor's quality and settings. Obviously nothing can compare to seeing and handling our rugs in person but still, the photos of our rugs cannot portray the softness and suppleness of the wool, the tightness of the weave, the rug's overall fineness, or the beauty and accuracy of the colors, for example - plus, this is exacerbated by the fact that all monitors display colors differently. (iii) Holding a rug for few days :Yes. If you like a rug and want us to put it on hold for you, let us know through email. Your rug will be put on hold for a week. If you don't reply within a week, it will be made available for other customers to buy. To put a rug on hold for more than one week, an initial amount of 10% would be required, which is refundable. (iv) Previously seen on website :If you can't find the carpet you were looking at during an earlier visit, it has most likely been sold or put on hold for a customer. However, the carpet may become available again if the other customer decides against purchasing the rug or does not follow through with the purchase for any other reason. In addition, there is a possibility that Gaba Orientals will be able to find you another almost identical rug. We recommend, therefore, that you inquire about the rug, even though it may no longer be listed on our web site. When inquiring about rugs that are no longer listed on our web site, please provide us with the rug's identification number, or describe the rug's size, colors, and design. 2. PAYMENT OPTIONS(i) Credit Card :We prefer to accept payments online at our website via American Express, Diners Club, Discover, JCB, MasterCard, Visa credit cards or Online check through 2CheckOut. However, if you want you can also pay through Bank Transfer. You can also contact us to inquire about more payment options. (ii) Bank Transfer :You can also pay for rugs through a direct bank transfer. For bank transfer, we offer 6% discount on listed prices. For further information on how to purchase rugs through a bank transfer, please contact us via email. Bank fees for transfers are normally US$20 - US$40. Also note that your rugs will be shipped as soon as we receive your payment. The bank transfer normally takes 3-7 days. (iii) Western Union Transfer :We also accept money transfer by the Western Union money transfer method to name of the proprietor Saleem Gaba. 3. PACKING, SHIPPING MATTERS, RETURN/REFUNDS(i) Packing :Rugs are first wrapped and sealed in two layers of plastic. Then, they are covered in a strong burlap sack, which is sewn closed. Similarly for other items, the packing method followed is of international standard to reach you in safe & sound way. (ii) Shipping :Once Gaba Orientals receives confirmation that payment has been made, rugs are shipped via DHL (Worldwide Package Express service), FedEx (International Priority Delivery service), or UPS. If you prefer one courier over the other, please inform Gaba Orientals via e-mail or through your inquiry form. (iii) Track your purchases :Once rugs are shipped, Gaba Orientals provides all customers with an online tracking number and instructions to track their rugs online during the course of the delivery period. (iv) Prices include delivery charges :Yes, all listed prices include international home delivery with DHL, FedEx, or UPS. In addition, our couriers handle all customs clearance and related procedures. (v) Return / Refund Policy :We are 100% behind the carpets we sell. If you're not satisfied with carpet you've purchased from Gabaorientals.com, we would be obliged to refund if you can contact us within 7 days of receiving it. After the initial period of 7 days, Gabaorientals.com does not accept any responsibility of your purchase.Also note that as we operate on very low margins and also absorb international shipping costs , hence we do not encourage customers to adopt a "buy to try" approach. Refunds are requested after we receive and process your return. You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of returning your purchased rug(s) to gabaorientals.com, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper ( 5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it ( 3 to 5 business days ), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request . We'll also notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned rug(s). If you have any doubts about the rug(s) you wish to purchase, please use our Inquiry form (linked at the top of each page on our web site) to submit an inquiry to us. We are happy to answer any questions that you have and help you determine which rugs are the most suitable . (vi) Insurance :All rugs are insured during the delivery period. If a rug is delivered to you in damaged condition or has been lost during the shipping period, customers will receive a full refund. If you wish to return a rug for any other reason, please see Returns/Refunds Policy. (vii) Customs Info for the customers :The following tips are available with us for the customers to note , however, you are advised to consult your local custom regulatory authorities. USAMost US customers do not have to pay any duties or taxes on their purchases, as the rugs are usually for personal use. Officially, however, US duties/taxes for rugs are very modest, ranging from 0% to 3.5% of the rug's purchase price. With recent changes in US duty schedules for goods imported from Pakistan, duty is no longer charged on rugs from Pakistan. For shipments over US$2000, customers may be charged 0.21% or a minimum of US$25 by DHL/FedEx/UPS for customs clearance services. Customers may be contacted by DHL/FedEx/UPS when the shipments arrive in the USA, to confirm that the rugs were ordered by them and to obtain any information needed at the time (such as additional address details, social security numbers if duty/taxes are to be applied, etc.). Duty/taxes and DHL/FedEx/UPS charges, when applicable, are sent to the customer in the form of a bill sometime after the rugs have been delivered. DHL, FedEx, and UPS handle all customs clearance and related procedures. Delivery time of 3 to 6 days includes customs clearance time by DHL/FedEx/UPS. All deliveries to the United States are charged a Merchandize Processing Fee (MPF) of US$ 25 by the US Customs Service. In addition, couriers usually add US$ 5 for advancing any duty that may be applied. Payment for MPF and the courier's advance duty fee is the responsibility of the customer. EUROPEAN UNIONCustomers are required to pay VAT when their rugs enter their country of residence (DHL, FedEx, and UPS pay VAT for customers and send them a bill on or sometime after delivery). In addition, duty may apply when rugs are processed for customs clearance and varies from country to country. However, many customers are not charged duty, as the rugs are for personal use. DHL/FedEx/UPS handle all customs clearance and related procedures. Delivery time of 5 to 8 days includes customs clearance time by DHL/FedEx/UPS. UKCustomers are required to pay VAT, currently at 17.5% for handmade rugs, when their rugs enter the United Kingdom. In addition, duty may apply when rugs are processed for customs clearance. This can range between 0 to 8% of the purchase price. DHL/FedEx/UPS handle all customs clearance and related procedures, pay applicable duty and VAT on behalf of customers, and bill customers for Duty/VAT on, or sometime after, delivery. Delivery time of 3 to 6 days includes customs clearance time by DHL/FedEx/UPS. AUSTRALIAThere is no duty for handmade rugs. However, customers must pay 10% GST on the total invoiced value of the shipment.DHL/FedEx/UPS will handle all customs clearance and related procedures and collect any applicable fees/taxes from customers upon delivery. SINGAPORECustomers are required to pay tax, currently at 5% for handmade rugs, when their rugs enter Singapore.In addition, duty may apply when rugs are processed for customs clearance.DHL/FedEx/UPS handle all customs clearance and related procedures and collect any applicable fees/taxes from customers upon delivery. OTHER COUNTRIESFor duty/tax information for other countries, please e-mail (info@gabaorientals.com) or its better to contact your local customs office. 4. WHOLESALE INQUIRYIf you are interested in purchasing rugs for resale, please contact Gaba orientals and list the types/qualities of rugs, the quantity (by square feet/meters), and the shipping method (e.g., DHL/FedEx/UPS delivery, airport-to-airport, sea) you are interested in. Listing particular rugs (by number) from our web site or adding them to a shopping cart is helpful.
